Thi Sawrtin, a seasoned smuggler, encountered the rookie Zayl Braith. He took her on as his partner, and the two commenced collaborative smuggling operations.
Prior to 1 ABY, while on what was supposed to be a "standard" smuggling operation through the Noonian sector, Sawrtin and Braith stumbled upon an Imperial Interdictor cruiser, named the Tory's Catcher, resulting in their capture. Sawrtin discovered that Gresia Vleen, the Imperial Captain, was impervious to bribery. Vleen proceeded to shoot Sawrtin, seize the smuggler's vessel, and incarcerate Braith.
