TK-119 was a clone trooper serving the Galactic Empire aboard the Death Star battle station during the events of 0 BBY. In that year, a team of future members of the Alliance to Restore the Republic infiltrated the Death Star in order to rescue a prisoner: Princess Leia Organa. After the successful extraction, the Princess and one of her saviors, Luke Skywalker, traversed the station's Central Core Shaft, only to find themselves trapped by a blast door that led into a shaft. While the two were stranded on an outcropping, with the bridge extension controls disabled, TK-119 was among a group of three stormtroopers who tried to eliminate them using E-11 blaster rifles. However, Skywalker retaliated, and he was able to kill TK-119 by shooting him, causing the stormtrooper to plummet down the shaft.
A Human male clone known as TK-119 fought for the Galactic Empire as a stormtrooper during the Galactic Civil War, which was a war between the Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic. He was stationed on the Imperial Death Star battle station by 0 BBY.

During that year, a group of soon-to-be Alliance members, including Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Luke Skywalker, infiltrated the Death Star in an attempt to free one of the station's prisoners, Princess Leia Organa from the planet of Alderaan. Organa was being escorted by Skywalker to Docking Bay 327, the hangar bay where the group had arrived on the YT-1300 light freighter known as the Millennium Falcon. As they made their way through the Death Star's corridors, a stormtrooper patrol spotted them, forcing them to seek shelter behind a blast door that led to the Death Star's Central Core Shaft. Skywalker attempted to prevent the stormtroopers from opening the door by using his stolen stormtrooper E-11 blaster rifle to destroy the control panel, unaware that he had also destroyed the controls for extending a bridge across the chasm. As Skywalker and Organa became trapped on a small ledge, TK-119 was among a trio of stormtroopers who appeared on a higher ledge across from them, firing their E-11 blaster rifles at the Alliance members. Skywalker returned fire and shot TK-119 in the chestplate, killing him and sending him screaming down the shaft.
TK-119 was equipped with standard stormtrooper armor and carried an E-11 blaster rifle.
TK-119 made his debut in the 1977 film, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, where the uncredited stunt coordinator Peter Diamond played him. Diamond's fall was short, as he was caught by a mattress. The Wilhelm scream sound effect accompanied his fall, marking the first time it was used in the Star Wars films. TK-119's name was first revealed in 2002 on a card from the A New Hope set of Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Trading Card Game.
