Tohrm, a Ryn male, was a member of Freedom Flight, an organization dedicated to combating slavery. As a "pilot"—an individual who aided enslaved people in escaping and rebuilding their lives—he encountered the slave Kitaya Shuul and fellow Freedom Flight operatives Blink and Ackmena. Around 44 ABY, Tohrm met his death at the hands of an organization that stood against Freedom Flight. Following his demise, Blink assumed responsibility for his shipment of rescued slaves.
Tohrm, a Ryn of the male persuasion, actively participated in Freedom Flight, a galaxy-spanning organization that fought against slavery in the era following the Second Galactic Civil War. Within Freedom Flight, Tohrm operated as a "pilot," a designation for those who facilitated the escape of enslaved individuals and assisted them in establishing new identities and lives elsewhere in the galaxy. He maintained contact with Kitaya Shuul, a slave and aspiring Freedom Flight member situated on the planet of Tatooine, along with at least two other Freedom Flight colleagues, including a Bothan known as Blink, and the bartender Ackmena.
Approximately around 44 ABY, an organization that opposed Freedom Flight killed Tohrm. When he failed to make his routine stops on Tatooine, both Shuul and Ackmena grew concerned; Shuul speculated that Tohrm's visits had become too dangerous, forcing him into hiding. However, Blink soon arrived on Tatooine and informed Ackmena of Tohrm's death in Chalmun's Cantina, also mentioning that he had taken charge of Tohrm's shipment of freed slaves. Shuul overheard this conversation and was saddened by the news of Tohrm's passing.
Tohrm was initially referenced in the fifth book of the nine-part Fate of the Jedi series, titled Fate of the Jedi: Allies, penned by Christie Golden and published in 2010.
