Torpo the Hutt, a Hutt, was related to Jabba Desilijic Tiure as a distant relative. Jabba suspected Torpo of arranging an agreement with the Confederacy of Independent Systems circa 21 BBY during the Clone Wars, allowing them entry to the Valsedian asteroid belt located within Hutt Space. This action broke a treaty with the Galactic Republic regarding supply routes. Consequently, the Jedi Order received a request and sent a group to the Valsedian asteroid belt to look into the matter and try to negotiate a solution. This group consisted of Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Keelyvine Reus, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, together with Padawans Tyzen Xebec and Ahsoka Tano. Later, he was discovered in a chamber, pleading for the Jedi's assistance, but Asajj Ventress promptly stabbed him in the back.
