A research station, under the operation of the Trade Federation, existed for a period following the Naboo Invasion. Its purpose was the development of the next generation of combat droids. Following an assault by the Naboo Royal Security Forces, the facility was rendered inoperable.
On an island, the Trade Federation constructed a research center. A tall wall encircled the buildings, and three laser cannons provided security.
An aircraft hangar was situated on a separate, nearby island.
The Naboo Royal Security Forces, acting on obtained intelligence, launched an attack and captured the facility, led by Lieutenant Gavyn Sykes. While the commandos were in the process of downloading crucial data, Sykes provided aerial defense using his N-1 starfighter, as the Trade Federation responded with force to the intrusion. The Federation dispatched a C-9979 landing craft filled with battle droids in an attempt to reclaim the station. Droid starfighters engaged Sykes in aerial combat, while numerous B1-series battle droids on STAPs harassed the ground forces. Ultimately, the overwhelming enemy numbers forced the commandos to request immediate extraction. A Consular-class cruiser landed within the ruined station, retrieving both the commandos and the vital data. Droid starfighters pursued the escaping vessel until it achieved sufficient velocity to escape.
Analysis of the acquired data revealed that the Federation was in the process of developing an advanced combat droid.
The research station is featured in the 2000 video game Star Wars: Episode I: Battle for Naboo as the setting for the first bonus mission. This mission becomes accessible after earning bronze medals in all campaign missions or by utilizing cheat codes.
