The Trade Federation deployed laser turrets during the Invasion of Naboo which occurred in 32 BBY. To inderdict the Naboo Resistance, some of the laser turrets were positioned at the [N-1 assembly site].(/article/n-1_assembly_site) A Trade Federation base was also defended by numerous turrets; a resistance strike force destroyed these defensive emplacements. Furthermore, turrets protected Federation slave camps situated along the Andrevea River. On Porso Hill, the turrets were also located around the base of Borvo the Hutt. During the battle, other turrets that had been positioned along the south ridge of Theed were destroyed. Featuring a triangular casing with a protruding barrel, the turrets were mounted on pedestals. They were designed to engage both aerial and terrestrial targets.
