Originating in the glacial regions of Naboo, the Andrevea River flowed towards the vicinity of the city of Ferentina before ultimately emptying into a swamp. A river delta was situated along the waterway. The terrain along the Andrevea River's banks varied considerably due to its passage through diverse Naboo regions. Icy landscapes and rocks characterized the river's course through the glacial areas, while the section near Ferentina featured steep banks adorned with grass and beaches.
The Trade Federation, during their invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY over trade disagreements, established enslavement camps along the Andrevea River's shores for Naboo citizens. Lieutenant Gavyn Sykes of the Royal Naboo Security Forces, aiming to liberate these camps, commandeered a stolen Federation gunboat to navigate the river. He started from a destroyed Federation base located at the river's origin in Naboo's glacial areas, proceeding to the river delta where the camps were situated. During his journey, Sykes was compelled to demolish a barrier obstructing the river's passage at the Federation base's edge. He also had to navigate through aquatic mines and evade Trade Federation patrols.
After freeing the prisoners from the enslavement camps, Sykes united with his wingmen and commanded a convoy of rescued civilians from the camps towards Ferentina. An ambush forced the convoy to transition to land, utilizing Flash speeders, while Sykes utilized an N-X Police Cruiser. During this ambush, Federation bombers inflicted significant damage upon Ferentina.
The Andrevea River served as the setting for two back-to-back missions in the 2000 video game Star Wars: Episode I: Battle for Naboo.
