Viceroy of the Trade Federation
The individual at the helm of the Trade Federation, known as the Viceroy of the Trade Federation (also referenced as the Trade Federation Viceroy or Commanding Viceroy), functioned as the leader, the chairbeing overseeing the Trade Federation Directorate, and, given their Neimoidian heritage, the chief of the Neimoidian Inner Circle in the years leading up to the Invasion of Naboo. A three-pointed tiara served as the Viceroy's emblem circa the Battle of Naboo, although this symbol evolved subsequently. Furthermore, the Viceroy exercised absolute power over both the Trade Federation and the Neimoidians, the latter stemming from their existence within a hive mind, which inhibited independent thought. Consequently, the incapacitation or death of the Viceroy would effectively halt all operations of the Neimoidians and the Trade Federation. This was particularly evident during both the Invasion and the subsequent liberation of Naboo, where Queen Amidala brought an end to the conflict by compelling Nute Gunray to ratify a new accord.
Hask occupied the position of Viceroy around 44 BBY. Nute Gunray succeeded him, remaining in power until his demise in 19 BBY. Following Gunray's passing, Sentepeth Findos briefly served as Acting Viceroy, until the Galactic Empire nationalized the Federation shortly after the Declaration of a New Order, where he and the Federation would be a puppet to the New Order; however, he remained the leader of the Trade Federation until it was dissolved along with the Imperial Senate in 0 BBY.
During the Federation's transition to a militarized state, the Viceroy functioned as the commander of their military.
As Viceroy, Gunray took command of Naboo throughout the Federation's occupation of the planet, temporarily superseding the Monarch, Governor, and head of Security.
