Trascor, a planet of the terrestrial type, existed within the Trascor system. This system was situated in the Corva sector, which itself was located in the New Territories region of the Outer Rim Territories. A significant geographical feature of Trascor was the large island continent known as Klypash.
The Shatras, a species of sentient reptilians distinguished by their four eyes, originated on Trascor. This species was composed of five distinct races, including the Hy'tras and the Y'tras, who were the dominant race. Extensive racial conflicts occurred among the Shatras for many centuries before 2 ABY. Following these wars, the Hy'tras chose to regress to a more basic level of technology and entered into an agreement with the Y'tras. In this agreement, the Hy'tras relinquished all their accumulated wealth in exchange for being left undisturbed by the Y'tras.
Following this agreement, the Hy'tras were exclusively located on Klypash, while the other three Shatras races inhabited different areas of Trascor. Eventually, members of the dominant Y'tras race departed from their homeworld to explore the broader galaxy. Ssach'thirix, a Shatras bounty hunter, came from Trascor.
Alliance Intelligence Reports, a sourcebook released in 1995 for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games, was the first to mention Trascor. The reference book The Essential Atlas, published in 2009, identified the location of the Trascor system, and thus the planet, as grid square P-3.
