Trebela

Trebela, a planet, existed as an astronomical body within the Trebela system. This system was situated within the Altier sector, which itself was located in the Slice region of the Expansion Region. The [capital](/article/capital/legends] of Trebela was a city.

During the era of the Galactic Civil War, Governor Kraxith of the Galactic Empire held dominion over Trebela. During this time, a significant Rebel Alliance network was active in Trebela's capital. This network consisted of several independent Rebel groups, none of which were aware of the others' existence or identities. Eventually, Kraxith dismantled the network, and the surprise he experienced at the organization's size was only surpassed by the astonishment of the Rebel operatives involved.

Behind the scenes

The first mention of Trebela occurred in the 1987 publication The Star Wars Sourcebook, created by Bill Slavicsek and Curtis Smith and released by West End Games for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. A roleplaying game source article, "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," published in Voyages SF 13 in 1990, placed the Trebela system in a sector bearing the same name.

Because that article's publication occurred outside the oversight of Lucas Licensing, its canonicity within the Star Wars Legends continuity was never officially established. Subsequently, the 2009 reference work The Essential Atlas located the Trebela system, and thus Trebela itself, within grid square O-13. The StarWars.com Online Companion for the book further superseded the placement in Voyages SF 13, confirming the Trebela system's membership in the Altier sector.
