Trinthan prowlers were a feline species from the Trinith system, lacking sentience. Following their initial discovery, these dangerous, feline-esque creatures were traded throughout the galaxy to serve as trained hunters and trackers. The Republic outlawed prowler breeding because of their ferocious nature and several severe mauling incidents involving innocent people, resulting in the release of nearly all prowlers into the wild. These creatures established populations on numerous planets, including Quesh, where their hunting abilities enabled them to prey on smaller, slower animals; occasionally, they would also attack sentient beings who happened to be in close proximity. Prowlers on Quesh possessed a specialized spleen that filtered radioactive substances from their blood, and remarkably, this organ bore a strong resemblance to the spleen of the Geo Beast from Oricon, for reasons that remain a mystery.
