The individual who held the position of second-in-command for Triton Squad was a clone stormtrooper created using the original DNA blueprint derived from the renowned Jango Fett, a bounty hunter. Initially, he was genetically molded and programmed to be a standard clone trooper within the ranks of the Galactic Republic. However, following the transformation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire at the close of the Clone Wars, he transitioned into a 501st Imperial stormtrooper. During the Imperial invasion of Kashyyyk, the Wookiee homeworld, this commander and his unit were integrated into the 501st Legion, an exceptional military force under the direct authority of the Supreme Commander, Darth Vader.
In the early years of the Galactic Empire, Triton Squad, including its stormtrooper leader, was sent with the 501st Legion to the world of Kashyyyk. This deployment occurred after the Supreme Commander, Darth Vader, learned that a Jedi on the run was being given refuge by the compassionate Wookiee inhabitants. The Imperial military encountered fierce opposition from the Wookiees, resulting in a conflict that inflicted significant losses on both sides. Shortly after landing on Kashyyyk, Lord Vader encountered Triton Squad immediately following their elimination of a group of armed Wookiee fighters. The commander and his soldiers reported for duty and eagerly supported the Sith Lord in his pursuit of the Jedi Kento Marek.
The Triton Squad Commander was a male Human clone originating from the bounty hunter Jango Fett, resulting in a height of 1.83 meters, mirroring his genetic source. Raised to strictly adhere to the hierarchy, the Commander was a dedicated soldier who executed the orders of the Sith Lord Darth Vader without question, even when faced with extremely difficult and unsettling situations.
During his service on Kashyyyk, the Commander wore an earlier model of stormtrooper armor, distinguished by the prominent blue markings used by the 501st Legion during the Clone Wars. His protective gear also included a command shoulder plate and backpack. His primary weapon was the standard E-11 blaster rifle.
The Commander of Triton Squad made an appearance in the PlayStation 2 and Wii versions of the 2008 video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. However, he is absent from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 editions.
