Tubers, a kind of plant, thrived in the Dune Sea found on the desert planet of Tatooine. The indigenous dewbacks of Tatooine consumed them. Furthermore, tubers were cultivated on both Akiva and Lothal, where they were enjoyed alongside meat dishes like prairie-fowl breasts. One particular variety of tuber was known as Kebroot.
The initial reference to tubers appeared in the reference work, Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, which hit shelves in 2015.
