Tuber was the moniker that Anakin Solo used for an older Dantari individual from the tribe whom he met on Dantooine in 25 ABY. This occurred in the initial stages of the Yuuzhan Vong War.
On occasion, Tuber would carry blba firewood to the campsite of Anakin and Mara Jade Skywalker, seeking to exchange it for vincha roots or minor objects. These trinkets would be woven into Tuber's hair. What set him apart from the other Dantari tribesmen was the roughly done Imperial symbol that had been tattooed on his chest.
The Yuuzhan Vong briefly seized and inflicted pain upon Tuber and his Dantari tribe. Nevertheless, Anakin succeeded in liberating the natives from the Vong's imprisonment. Because of difficulties in communication, Anakin employed the Force to transmit his thoughts into Tuber's consciousness. He instructed him to guide his tribe to a secure location within the deep mountain valleys of Dantooine. Anakin believed that the valley, abundant with tall grasses and numerous vincha roots, could potentially serve as a refuge for the Dantari during the imminent invasion of Dantooine by the aliens from beyond the galaxy.
