Tura Raftican


Tura Raftican functioned as an investigative reporter for the HoloNews Network. During the time of the Galactic Civil War, she became affiliated with the Intelligence division of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, serving under the command of Major Arhul Hextrophon and General Airen Cracken. Eventually, Raftican achieved the rank of lieutenant and authored a report concerning the Zulirian Swordmasters, outlining the danger they posed to the Alliance. Raftican leveraged her background as a journalist to effectively carry out her responsibilities.

Biography

Tura Raftican, a female Human, was employed as an investigative reporter by the HoloNews Network in addition to other news organizations originating from the Core Worlds. In this role, she provided coverage of the actions of diverse groups striving for recognition through their efforts and, in the process, cultivated an extensive network of contacts.

In 2 ABY, Raftican became a member of the Intelligence branch of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Her primary function within the Alliance involved supplying intelligence to Rebel forces, drawing upon the connections she had established during her time as a journalist. Prominent figures among her contacts within the Rebel Alliance included Major Arhul Hextrophon and Lieutenant Voren Na'al. After her own promotion to the rank of lieutenant, Raftican collaborated with a team of Rebel officers that featured Lieutenant Commanders Deeve and Bakki Sourthol, Lieutenant Anson Blazer, and Special Agent Tay Vanis.

Raftican composed a report concerning the Zulirian Swordmasters for the Task Force on Alliance Security. Within this report, she observed that the Swordmasters had initially been mere devotees of datafiles before embracing fencing, and that their shift towards swordplay was a deliberate attempt to attract attention. Nevertheless, she cautioned that they should be regarded as a legitimate threat, even if seeking attention was their underlying motive.

Raftican was known as a dedicated and diligent individual, both in her capacity as a journalist and as an intelligence operative. She later made an appearance in 1998 as a character who could be recruited within the computer game Star Wars: Rebellion.
