Tuskbeast pikes were melee weapons employed by the sentient Nikto species who were originally from the planet Kintan located in Hutt Space. Following the debut of the play Evocar, which celebrated the Tionese tyrant Xim, certain Nikto etched lines from the play onto their tuskbeast pikes. Tuskbeasts themselves were a species of non-sentient creatures indigenous to Kintan.
The initial mention of tuskbeast pikes occurred in the fourth installment of Xim Week: The Despotica. This was a four-part article exclusive to Hyperspace, authored by Michael Kogge, and made available on StarWars.com in 2009.
