Tusken Relic Cave

The Tusken Relic Cave, a complex of caves on the desert planet of Tatooine, served as the dwelling for a group of Tusken Raiders. Situated in the Tusken March region of Tatooine, it was not far from Fort Tusken. Within this cave, a Tusken Raider tribe safeguarded their most revered relics. These items of significance included a ghastly gaderffii baton, the skull of a chieftain, and a krayt dragon's head. After the Battle of Yavin during the Galactic Civil War – a period of conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic – a spacer hired by the scholar Srimaur stole these relics from their resting place. This theft ignited the Tuskens' fury, leading them to attack the city of Mos Espa in an act of vengeance.

Behind the scenes

The Tusken Relic Cave made its debut in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts before it was shut down on December 15, 2011. The cave was integrated into the game on November 1, 2007, through the "Chapter 7: A Collection of Heroes" update. It was a component of the "Tusken Relics" quest, which players needed to finish to gain access to the "Tusken Army" heroic encounter. This encounter depicted the Tusken army's assault on Mos Espa. Players were required to be at combat level 70 to begin the quest, but it was recommended that they reach level 90, the game's maximum level, before attempting it on their own.
