A male person existed during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Sometime following 0 BBY, he found himself in the metropolis of Bela Vistal located on the world of Corellia. There, he secretly listened to and recorded spice merchant Palejo Reshad conducting business with associates connected to crime syndicate boss Shalera the Hutt. He then leveraged this recording to extort the trader. However, Reshad refused to comply with the extortion and instead contracted a space pilot to eliminate him.
A male individual lived during the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance. At some point after the year 0 BBY, he was in the highland city of Bela Vistal on the planet Corellia.
While the individual was in Bela Vistal, he eavesdropped on and recorded spice trader Palejo Reshad engaging in trading with associates of the crime lord Shalera the Hutt. The individual used the recording of the spice trader's business to blackmail Reshad. However, Reshad preferred to get rid of his blackmailer instead of giving him money.
Reshad eventually encountered a spacer who was willing to assist. After Reshad explained the situation, the spacer went looking for the blackmailer in the surrounding highlands of Corellia. However, the blackmailer was not willing to give up the tape, believing it would make him rich, and fought with the spacer. He was killed during the fight. The spacer then went back to Reshad and was rewarded with 500 credits.

This character, simply called the Blackmailer, appeared as a non-player character within the 2003 computer game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game created by Sony Online Entertainment and released by LucasArts, before its termination on December 15, 2011. Players undertaking a quest for Palejo Reshad were tasked with eliminating the blackmailer. Due to the blackmailer being generated from the generic "mercenary" template, his appearance was randomly selected from one of seven possible variations. The species that the blackmailer could appear as included Humans and Rodians of either sex, and a male Sullustan. While the quest dialogue identified the blackmailer as male, the canonical species is not definitively known in the Star Wars Legends continuity. Even though the player had the option to not go after the blackmailer, this article assumes complete game completion.
