Biography

Siege of Dantooine

The commander of the 187th Legion was a clone created from the genetic template of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett. From their inception, they underwent specialized training to lead a clone unit and effectively utilize clone airborne armor. Their assignment placed them in command of the 187th Legion, with a focus on providing combat support to their Jedi General.

As the Clone Wars erupted, in the immediate aftermath of the Battle of Muunilinst, the Confederacy of Independent Systems began to utilize the planet of Dantooine as a strategic base against the Republic. Upon discovering this Separatist presence, Master of the Order Mace Windu deployed a force of clone troopers with the mission of reclaiming the planet. During this engagement, the clone commander led the 187th Legion, securing a crucial victory for the clone army, which resulted in the Republic gaining control of Dantooine.

Assault on the Jedi Temple

Near the war's conclusion, the Confederacy of Independent Systems initiated a large-scale invasion of the Republic's capital. During this conflict, the droid army launched an attack on the Jedi Temple. The 187th Legion, together with their Jedi General, engaged in combat to defend the temple. During this assault, the clone commander employed a system of gestures to efficiently manage and direct their legion of clone troopers.

Personality and traits

Being a clone derived from Jango Fett, the clone commander of the 187th Legion was a human male with a height of 1.83 meters. They possessed short, dark hair, a tan complexion, and brown eyes. As a member of the 187th Legion, the commander was regarded as an exceptional warrior, having undergone specialized training to effectively support High Jedi General Mace Windu in battle. During the Battle of Coruscant, the clone commander demonstrated remarkable leadership abilities, effectively commanding their entire unit through a simple set of hand signals.

Equipment

The clone commander of the 187th was equipped with standard phase II clone paratrooper armor, complemented by a beige kama. The armor featured light blue and purple markings, and they wore a bandoleer across their chest plate, which served to carry a modified DC-17 hand blaster that discharged red blaster bolts. In combat, they also utilized a DC-15A blaster rifle.

Behind the scenes

This clone commander was initially conceived for the Target exclusive "Mace Windu's Attack battalion" battle pack released in 2006, appearing alongside Mace Windu and three additional members of the battalion. In 2007, Star Wars Unleashed introduced a miniature pack representing the 187th Legion, featuring the commander and three troopers. Later, in 2010, Gentle Giant Studios released a mini-bust depicting the commander.
