An operative was employed by Watto, the junk dealer, to manage his most substantial consignment of DUM-series pit droids located in the port city of Mos Espa on the planet Tatooine. At Mos Espa Circuit, Watto used a cam droid to get in touch with the operative, instructing that the pit droids be escorted from their freighter, after it arrived in Mos Espa, to the podrace circuit situated in the city. With the help of C-3PO, the contractor ultimately managed to get the pit droids delivered to the circuit.
