A unit of the Crimson Dawn crime group operated during the time of the Galactic Empire's rule. This unit had its headquarters at a Crimson Dawn Regional Outpost located in the Outer Rim Territories. In the period spanning 3 ABY to 4 ABY, Darth Vader, a Sith Lord who sought to destroy the criminal organization, made his way to the outpost with the aim of assuming control of the unit. Once Vader had taken control, Sabé, another member of Crimson Dawn, explained the new structure, leading some members of the unit to feel a sense of betrayal, resulting in an attempt to kill Vader, which failed. As the leader uttered their final words, the remaining members pledged their loyalty to Vader. The Sith Lord subsequently orchestrated the elimination of the cell's forces in a skirmish against the Empire on Oro Sankeria.
