The head of the Daan people in the High Republic Era found themselves as a prisoner of the Melida inhabitants. To liberate the Daan leader, Axel Greylark, his father Lexxir Greylark, and a Jedi Knight embarked on a mission to Melida/Daan. However, the rescue attempt was actually a setup, resulting in the death of Greylark's father.
