A Dark Jedi Master, who served the Sith Empire during the Jedi Civil War, was a figure of importance. This Master oversaw the Sith Embassy located on Manaan and also took on the responsibility of training young Selkath in the ways of the dark side. He was a Dark Jedi of considerable power.
Following Darth Malak's usurpation of the Sith Empire from Revan, the Master pledged his loyalty to the new Dark Lord. One year later, when Revan, suffering from amnesia, and his companions infiltrated the Sith Embassy, this Dark Jedi Master instructed two of his Selkath pupils to engage them in combat. The Master, recognizing Revan, engaged the amnesiac and his allies in battle but was defeated because he was too sure of himself.
The Selkath were shown a datapad containing recordings of the Dark Jedi Master's activities, which persuaded them to reassess their alliances.
In Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, if Jolee Bindo or HK-47 are present when the player initially meets the Dark Jedi Master, each character will offer their unique commentary on the encounter.
