A forest world possessing a gravity of 1.1 standard was the original homeworld for the small birds of prey known as the elix. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, this forest planet was on the verge of destruction due to an impending supernova. In an effort to rescue the elix from potential extinction, a group of zealous planetary ecologists relocated the species to Dar'Or, a tree-filled planet situated within the Jospro sector of the Outer Rim Territories.
The ecologists, however, failed to consider the implications of the elix's new habitat having weaker gravity. This oversight resulted in the avians evolving into powerful and swift apex predators, posing a threat to the native sentients, known as the Ri'Dar. Some years following the elix's relocation from their fated homeworld, the sentientologist Obo Rin referenced that forested planet in an entry of his publication, Catalog of Intelligent Life in the Galaxy, specifically in the section dedicated to the Ri'Dar.
The elix's homeworld was initially referenced in Galaxy Guide 4: Alien Races, a 1989 sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, written by Troy Denning.
