This character was featured in the tenth edition of Star Wars Tales, a series by Dark Horse Comics, back in 2001. The story in which he appeared was called "Trooper." Lucasfilm's canon arbiter, Leland Chee, mentioned that some aspects of the Tales comics are classified as S-canon unless C-canon sources mention them. Subsequently, he verified on his Facebook account that this specific narrative was created as a non-canon tale.
