An anonymous Houk was part of the Citizen Guard serving the Sith realm called the Arkadianate during the era of the Republic Dark Age. Like many inhabitants of the Arkadianate, this individual had experienced various job assignments throughout their life, a consequence of Sith Lord Arkadia Calimondra's initiative to expose citizens to diverse employment experiences. During the Siege of Calimondretta, he found himself on patrol in Reflection Prospect, a spacious public area within the city. Jedi Knight Kerra Holt made her escape from the Impound and initiated a distracting assault, an action resulting from an agreement with Bothan spy Narsk Ka'hane, who was secretly employed by the opposing Sith Lord Vilia Calimondra.
Having recently transitioned into his role within the Citizen Guard, the Houk lacked experience and possessed poor marksmanship skills. Amidst the ensuing chaos, he began to fire his [blaster](/article/blaster/legends] erratically into the surrounding people, inadvertently killing the other two Citizen Guards who were in pursuit of Kerra. Kerra swiftly eliminated the Houk Citizen Guard, using a blaster she acquired from one of the deceased Guards. This incident led Kerra to the realization that, in contrast to other Sith territories, the Citizen Guards of the Arkadianate were not aspiring Sith but instead were average beings ensnared within Arkadia's extensive military and industrial system.
