A rather peculiar Hutt from the species hired the well-known hunter, Riegenn Hetuu, circa 3743 BBY. The Hutt's goal was for Hetuu to find a living k'lor'slug queen, a creature that originated on the planet of Korriban. This Hutt, who resided on Nal Hutta, hosted a gladiatorial tournament yearly, and desired the queen as the main attraction. Upon Hetuu's arrival with the creature, opening the cargo bay resulted in the deaths of both the Hutt and Hetuu. The queen had reproduced, and approximately four hundred k'lor'slugs emerged, consuming them. This event led to the coining of the expression "a Hutt's cry," alluding to the noise produced by a k'lor'slug swarm.
The initial reference to this Hutt occurred in the k'lor'slug Codex entry within Star Wars: The Old Republic, a video game that BioWare launched in 2011.
