This Imperial Governor presided over the planet of Kabray. While a diplomatic summit was underway at Kabray Station, the governor engaged in a clandestine discussion with an envoy from the planet Pursin. The Pursian ambassador requested the governor's assistance in their conquest of adversaries from the planet Yugami. The governor consented to cease the conflict between the planets on the condition that the Pursians administer the vanquished planet as an Imperial dependency. The Pursians concurred, but whispers of their clandestine pact began to circulate within diplomatic circles.
Unbeknownst to the governor, Rebel heroes Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker had infiltrated the summit, bypassing the doorman by masquerading as assistants to the Hoojib delegation headed by Plif. The Rebels were in search of a concealed communication left at the station by Tay Vanis, but during their reconnaissance, they started overhearing rumors regarding the governor's secret arrangement. After Skywalker had successfully located the message and prepared to depart, he overheard another meeting involving the governor. The Yugami had discovered the Pursian's scheme, and they had employed an individual to poison the governor, with the intention of preventing him from announcing their agreement. The hired assassin managed to introduce a toxin into the governor's soup after infiltrating the kitchen, and then notified the Yugami, confident in his success.
Having overheard the assassin, Skywalker proceeded into the banquet hall, hoping to approach the governor and prevent him from consuming the soup. Concurrently, the governor was awaiting the performance of the celebrated singer, Shirley, the "Chanteuse of the Stars", accompanied by his entourage. The performance had been specially arranged for him, and the governor eagerly anticipated seeing Shirley for the first time. However, the singer considered the governor repulsive and refused to perform, much to the consternation of her agent, Morti. In a surprising turn of events, Leia Organa, who had been searching for Tay Vanis' message backstage, was mistaken for Shirley and compelled to dress the part. The governor, unaware of the substitution, was content to enjoy Leia's rendition of "I'm Just His Satellite."
Unfortunately for the entire convention, Leia's singing inadvertently triggered the maturation of a young Lahsbee, transforming him into a formidable Huhk, who proceeded to terrorize the stage. Fortunately for the governor, this event coincided with the serving of his poisoned soup. The distraction afforded Skywalker the opportunity to seize the soup and destroy it, saving the governor's life, who remained oblivious to the entire assassination attempt.
