An individual, a Human male, was employed by the Imperial Intelligence as an Imperial Intelligence Agent. He was based on Poderis, a world situated in the Inner Rim.
This agent received orders to monitor Luke Skywalker upon his arrival on the planet. Skywalker was there to investigate a potential connection to Thrawn's clone operations. The agent's attempt to shadow Skywalker proved unsuccessful, as Skywalker's Jedi skills allowed him to detect the agent's presence almost instantly. Consequently, Skywalker managed to evade the ambush the Imperials had prepared.
Thrawn, displeased with the agent's incompetence, instructed Captain Pellaeon to record an official order that would reduce the agent's rank by one level. Pellaeon considered this a harsh penalty. However, the agent was fortunate, as Lord Vader, had he been alive, would have likely used the Force to choke the agent.
