An aged Sanyassan individual was among the Marauders, a group of pirates whose vessel went down on Endor approximately one century prior to the Battle of Yavin. Alongside his fellow survivors, he made his home in the Marauders' Stronghold, functioning as a jailer for their chief, the self-proclaimed King Terak.
By the time 3.5 ABY rolled around, the warden's duty was to oversee Terak's prisoners within the Stronghold's prison cells, together with a colleague sporting a black beard. While these two Sanyassans were engaged in a card game, the Ewok named Wicket Warrick and his allies infiltrated the dungeons, successfully freeing their Human companion, the youthful Cindel Towani.
Around the time of 96 BBY, a band of Sanyassan pirates known as the Marauders were attempting to evade the authorities of space on board their hijacked starship. The strange stellar activity of the Endor system caused the Marauders' ship to crash on the green moon of Endor, compelling them to start a new Sanyassan society there. This white-haired individual was one of those marooned pirates. For numerous decades, the Marauders spread fear among the Ewoks, a peaceful species native to Endor.

In the months leading up to the destruction of the second Death Star, this Sanyassan with white hair was responsible for guarding the prisoners belonging to King Terak, the Marauders' cruel leader. At the time the elderly Human recluse Noa Briqualon, the Ewok Wicket Wystri Warrick, and Teek secretly entered the dungeon to free their friend Cindel Towani, the warden was in the middle of a card game with a fellow member of the Marauders.
The small Teek darted across the ground to detach the keys from the warden's waist. He then took a card from the table and slid it up the sleeve of the old Marauder. As the elderly warden was victorious in the following game, he slammed the table with joy. The hidden card then came out of his sleeve, and a fight broke out, with his opponent accusing him of cheating. Both Sanyassans then pulled their blasters and fired at the same time, and both lost consciousness and fell to the ground.
According to the group that rescued Towani, the card players were two of the most menacing and unpleasant-looking Marauders they had ever encountered. He sported a large, bushy white mustache and a sparse amount of thinning hair.
Similar to many Sanyassans, the warden did not have a long fuse. When the black-bearded Marauder accused him of cheating, he was instantly overcome with anger. The warden rapidly stood up and pulled out his blaster, ready to confront his opponent.

This aged Marauder played a supporting role in the 1985 television movie Ewoks: The Battle for Endor. He made an appearance in a brief, one-minute scene near the end of the film. It is known that Michael Pritchard and Johnny Weissmuller Jr. played the two card players, but their roles were only credited as "Card Player #1" and "Card Player #2".
The film does not make it clear whether the Sanyassan died from the blaster shot he received. The children's book adaptation The Ring, the Witch, and the Crystal: An Ewok Adventure, however, says that he simply "collapsed on the floor." The Sanyassans are known to possess tougher hides than Humans, which suggests that the warden may have been able to withstand the blaster's potentially fatal energy damage.
