The Elders, a group belonging to the Rakata, safeguarded a very old book. The One, who headed the opposing Black Rakata group, requested that Revan, the Sith Lord, pilfer it. The One offered Revan and his student Darth Malak access to the Temple of the Ancients for the theft, but Revan went against the One and instead joined forces with the Elders.
