In the year 27 BBY, a Whiphid of male gender made an appearance at the Twirling Twi'lek, a cantina situated on Coruscant. The bounty hunter Jango Fett ultimately killed the Whiphid after the former initiated an assault.

This character's genesis lies within Star Wars: Jango Fett, a one-shot comic issue released by Dark Horse Comics in 2002. Ron Marz penned the story, while Tom Fowler provided the artwork.
