Unidentified Yinchorri pilot

This Yinchorri aviator participated in a scheme orchestrated by the Galactic Empire. The aim of this scheme was the assassination of Princess Leia Organa. This was to be achieved by drawing her into an ambush that was set on the planet of Yinchorr.

Biography

In the period leading up to the Battle of Endor, this Yinchorri pilot, working alongside his commander, piloted a shuttle to the Rebel fleet's position. Their mission was to collect Princess Leia Organa. The Rebel leader was scheduled to meet with the Yinchorri Council of Elders to discuss the potential integration of the Yinchorri into the Rebel Alliance. Unbeknownst to Organa, the Council of Elders had been seized by Imperial Governor Marcellin Wessel. Wessel then used blackmail against the remaining Yinchorri, promising to free the council if they surrendered Organa to him.

As the pilot entered Yinchorr's atmosphere, he observed two TIE fighters ascending from the planet. These fighters were intended to escort his vessel to Wessel's location. The pilot alerted his commander, who swiftly subdued Organa. The commander instructed the pilot to land, so they could hand over the Rebel leader to the Imperials. However, before the pilot could comply, the TIE fighters initiated an attack on the shuttle. Wessel had opted to simply eliminate Organa, rather than capture her, with the Yinchorri crew considered expendable. The Yinchorri commander was taken aback by this act of treachery. Organa, however, quickly seized the initiative, directing the pilot to execute evasive maneuvers while she took control of the blaster cannon.

Organa managed to destroy one of the TIE fighters, but the other was able to shoot down the shuttle. Organa disabled the other TIE, but the Yinchorri pilot was unable to regain control of the craft. The shuttle hurtled towards the surface, crashing violently in the desert terrain. The entire Yinchorri crew perished in the subsequent explosion, with Organa being the sole survivor of the crash.
