Following the reconstituted Sith Empire's unearthing of a piece of the Mass Shadow Generator – the very device that had obliterated the world of Malachor V located in Sector R-4 – the station was constructed. Subsequently, the Unmasked utilized the station to reconstruct the devastating superweapon. Ultimately, the Eternal Alliance launched an assault on the research facility, vanquishing the cult and resulting in the Mass Shadow Generator's destruction.
