An in-development strategy video game set in the Star Wars universe is being crafted through a collaboration between Respawn Entertainment, a studio owned by EA, and Bit Reactor. This game's existence was revealed on January 25, 2022, concurrently with the unveiling of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and a fresh first-person shooter video game. Earlier, during a 2019 investor conference call, EA had mentioned they were working on a new Star Wars title.
Bit Reactor verified on March 2, 2024 that development of the game was ongoing, this announcement came as Electronic Arts announced widespread layoffs and the cancellation of Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars first-person shooter project.
