Usma

Usma, a Jedi Master renowned as one of the Order's most celebrated duelists of that time, dedicated service to both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic amidst the Great Galactic War against the resurgent Sith Empire. In the war's later years, Usma was training a Padawan; they were both on the Republic capital Coruscant when the Empire attacked the planet in 3653 BBY. During the ensuing conflict, Usma engaged a Sith Pureblood named [Praven] (/article/praven) in a fierce duel. Despite the Jedi Master's considerable abilities, the Sith Lord struck Usma down, killing him before his Padawan's very eyes. Praven, however, allowed Usma's Padawan to live, instructing her to find him upon completing her training. When the Jedi eventually located him years afterward, he then eliminated her as well.
