Vak script was a form of writing employed by the Vak Combine of the Unknown Regions, the country belonging to the Vak species. In the year 19 BBY, the Chiss individual Mitth'ali'astov, whose core name was "Thalias," endeavored to master the script in the days preceding a mission to Primea, the Vak capital planet. Nevertheless, she found herself unable to achieve proficiency in the script within that limited time frame.
The Vak script made its debut in the 2020 novel titled Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, which served as the initial entry in Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.
