The parent of Velko Jahen was a male Livtak Soikan. This individual, who would later become Velko's father, initially battled on behalf of the Livtak Union during the conflict that engulfed Soika. However, he switched his allegiance to the Gagic Alliance once he discovered their involvement in a scheme he found objectionable. Jahen, his offspring with a Gagic woman, acquired her Livtak coloring from her father. Following her appointment as Administrator on the Starlight Beacon, Jahen revealed her lineage to Chief Ghal Tarpfen following the Mon Calamari Head of Security's assumption that she had been a combatant for the Livtak Union.
