Vere was a member of Torrent Company during the Clone Wars, having received Kaminoan flash training as a clone trooper. During 22 BBY, he fought in the Battle of JanFathal against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, where he aided in the rescue of Republic Intelligence operative Hallena Devis. His life ended when he was killed by a droid grenade during this operation.
Vaize, a Human clone originating from the Wild Space world of Kamino, possessed a height of 1.83 meters and was created from the genetic template of bounty hunter Jango Fett.
The character Vere made his debut in Karen Traviss's 2009 novel, The Clone Wars: No Prisoners.
