One of the numerous towers comprising the Royal Palace located in Theed, the capital city on the planet of Naboo, was constructed during the thirteen-year governance of King Ars Veruna and contained an extensive library. In the era of the Clone Wars, an effort to kidnap Supreme Chancellor Palpatine transpired near the base of Veruna's tower.
The cinematic debut of Veruna's tower was in the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Conceptual artwork featuring the tower existed as far back as April 1998, during the second phase of filming for the movie.
