Vibroshields represent a type of armament employed by the Akk Guards during the Summertime War which took place on Haruun Kal.
These shields were individually created by Kar Vastor utilizing ultrachrome material he discovered within the Haruun Kal jungles. This material potentially originated from the wreckage of the Jedi starship responsible for transporting the Korunnai ancestors to the planet during the Great Sith War. Possessing resistance to the metal-consuming jungle rot prevalent on Haruun Kal, the shields, functioning as superconductors, were also impervious to being sliced by a lightsaber. Nevertheless, sustained contact with a lightsaber would eventually cause the metal to melt. Furthermore, they demonstrated the ability to deflect projectiles from both blaster weapons and slugthrower firearms.
Beyond their defensive function as shields, they featured honed edges suitable for use as cutting implements against adversaries. Integrating rudimentary electronic components, they could generate ultrasonic vibrations, enhancing their cutting effectiveness.
