A victory motif, composed by John Williams and played by the renowned London Symphony Orchestra, was featured in the 2019 movie Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. This significant leitmotif is presented in a major key and demonstrates variations in its rhythmic structure, pace, and the instruments used. Notably, omitting the concluding pair of notes, a similar musical phrase emerges in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones as the introductory notes of "Across the Stars." Furthermore, the initial trio of notes from the motif constitutes a portion of Rey's Theme. It also incorporates the initial notes of "March of the Resistance".
Within the The Rise of Skywalker soundtrack, the victory motif is audible in several tracks, including "The Rise of Skywalker," "The Final Saber Duel," "They Will Come," "Approaching the Throne," "The Force Is with You," and "Farewell." This motif, in conjunction with the friendship motif, essentially comprises the entire 4 minutes and 20 seconds of the track "The Rise of Skywalker." In the soundtrack version submitted for awards consideration, which features music directly extracted from the film's final edit, the motif can be heard within the track titled "Rescue."
