Voon sun

The Voon sun was a celestial body classified as a star, residing within the Voon system. This system was situated within the Krenher sector of the Core Worlds' region. Functioning as a node on the Hyabb-Twith Corridor hyperlane, it facilitated travel between the Hyabb and Twith systems. The planet Voon was in orbit around this star, bathed in its blue-white and cool light, as observed from the planetary surface. A group of Jedi Knights executed an infiltration of the stronghold belonging to the Nelori Marauders, a group comprised of warriors and pirates, on Voon. This occurred a number of decades prior to 4050 BBY, just before the day's dawn. In a surprising turn of events for the Jedi, the Marauders had withdrawn to the lower portions of their stronghold. As a result, the Jedi found themselves briefly gazing at each other in confusion as the Voon sun's rays streamed through the narrow windows, illuminating the structure's vacant upper levels.

Behind the scenes

The initial mention of the Voon sun occurred in Tales of the Jedi Companion, a 1996 sourcebook created by George R. Strayton. This sourcebook was published for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. Later, in 2009, the reference book The Essential Atlas specified the location of the Voon system, and consequently the star, as grid square K-9.
