Darth Voord
Darth Voord, appearing in the tale "The Legend of the Noble Bonbrak", was a Sith Lord. Voord, called "terrifying", reportedly reveled in employing his devastating heat ray to evaporate entire seas. The narrative "Bonbrak" sees the protagonist face the power of Darth Voord, which would cause the audience of the story to like the story more.
Long after the story was released, the name of Voord was incorporated into a religious invocation by cultists belonging to the Sith Eternal. These cultists were exploring the underground tunnels below the Sith Citadel situated on the planet Exegol during 3 ABY. Every leader of the cultist groups would guide their followers in reciting the name, alongside the names of other Sith Lords.
Behind the scenes
Adam Christopher's 2022 novel, Shadow of the Sith, included a reference to Darth Voord. This name is an homage to the science fiction series Doctor Who, where the Voord are a race of antagonistic extraterrestrials.
