Vurrha Jantsk was a Zabrak male who held the position of leader within the Jantsk mercenaries, a mercenary group that operated from the planet of Endor.
During the period of the Galactic Civil War, Emperor Palpatine dispatched an Imperial spacer, whose identity remains unknown, to Endor to collaborate with Jantsk. This collaboration was part of a scheme intended to damage the reputation of the Rebel Alliance in the eyes of Naboo's monarch, Queen Kylantha. Despite Kylantha's repeated displays of allegiance to Palpatine, he eventually began to suspect that her true sympathies were with the Rebellion.
Jantsk and his team were tasked with traveling to a world located in the Mid Rim to launch an assault on Queen Kylantha's personal chambers. A forged datadisk was to be used to make it appear that the Rebels were responsible for the attack. As instructed by the Emperor, it was crucial that none of Jantsk's personnel were aware that they were being employed by the Empire. Once Jantsk's usefulness had ended, he was killed within his base by the Imperial spacer, acting under Palpatine's direct orders. This action ensured that any potential link to the Empire was eliminated with Jantsk's death.
Vurrha Jantsk appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and released by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. The character of Vurrha Jantsk was integrated into the game as part of the "Imperial Theme Park" revamp, which was introduced with the "Chapter 6.12" update on September 13, 2007.
