Wadie Firestone, a distinguished Master Scout serving the Rebellion, collaborated closely with Arlo Tyre. Not long after the pivotal Battle of Yavin, both individuals received orders from central command to journey to Alashan and probe the circumstances surrounding a Rebel archaeological outpost's failure to respond to three scheduled transmissions.
Upon arrival, the duo discovered corpses outdoors, and Firestone noted the domes seemed to have exploded outward from within, even though they bore the marks of what appeared to be Star Destroyer weaponry. Tyre instructed him to search for any signs of life, but Firestone expressed pessimism about finding survivors. Instead, his scan picked up an unidentifiable energy signature emanating from within the primary habitat dome, prompting him to recommend requesting assistance. Tyre refused and ordered Firestone to provide support as they continued their investigation. However, Tyre was quickly felled by a blast of energy and perished. Firestone tried unsuccessfully to destroy the dome with blaster fire and explosives, then departed in his customized Y-wing scout-fighter with the intention of relaying information to the Rebel Alliance. The same enigmatic energy beam struck his craft, resulting in his death.
While on Alashan, Firestone was equipped with a porta-scanner and armed with a rifle blaster along with proton grenades. He was clad in a flight suit and a matching helmet.
