A male Human named Westa Impeveri held the position of elected senior counselor within the Hedrett Town Council as the Galactic Republic neared its end.
Westa Impeveri's upbringing took place in the Outer Rim. He began as a petty criminal, functioning as both a speaker and go-between for various low-level crime lords. Because of infighting, assassinations, and even losses in sabacc games, his employers were constantly in flux. Impeveri, in an attempt to leave that lifestyle, secretly boarded a vessel bound for [Corellia](/article/corellia-legends]; however, he was discovered and subsequently ejected in Hedrett.
Westa Impeveri decided to make the most of his circumstances and became involved in the local political scene around 33 BBY. His talent for obtaining confidential information proved valuable in his new line of work. At some point during this period, Impeveri became the father of a daughter. Eventually, after a period as a junior counselor, he leveraged the power of the secrets he possessed to unseat a highly regarded senior counselor, thereby securing the position for himself. Karid Blakken, his electoral opponent, accused Impeveri of manipulating the election results. Despite a recount of the votes, Impeveri was cleared of the accusation.
Westa projected an image of openness and trustworthiness, which encouraged individuals to confide in him. While he was merely an adequate senior counselor, his perceived transparency fostered numerous friendships within the council.
Around 20 BBY, Counselor Impeveri journeyed to the Almas Academy to participate in a private ceremony to express gratitude to the heroes responsible for the defeat of the slaver Phylus Mon.
In The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia, a reference book published in 2008, the Living Force article Destabilization incorrectly spelled Impeveri's slicer handle, "IMPEVERI," as "IMPEREVI."
