The Force's white flare represented a component of the Force, an element of equilibrium present throughout all existing realms. The heat and power of this white flare, while distinct from the Force's black current, existed in balance with it. Individuals attuned to the Force possessed this flare as an inner radiance. This intense surge manifested like a blazing fire, capable of serving as a constant guide or transforming into a destructive burst.
The initial visual representation of the Force's white flare occurred in "The Duel," a short film within the Star Wars: Visions anthology, brought to life by Kamikaze Douga under the direction of Takanobu Mizuno. Its formal identification originated in the companion novel Ronin: A Visions Novel, penned by Emma Mieko Candon. Rather than adhering to the conventional light side versus dark side dichotomy, Candon incorporated principles from Taoism and yin/yang to reimagine the Force, aligning it more closely with its Japanese cultural roots. Consequently, the white flare is neither affiliated with the light nor the dark side.
