Wilhuff Tarkin, the Grand Moff of the Imperial forces, possessed a lavish apartment situated far above most residences, in the Prime Senate Spire found on the planet of Coruscant. This small, but opulent living space was located approximately two kilometers above the majority of the Galactic City's structures.
During 29 BBY, Tarkin's apartment served as the location for a meeting between Ke Daiv, an assassin, and Raith Sienar, the Chief Executive Officer of Sienar Fleet Systems'. Later, in 1 BBY, the Grand Moff shared news of his assignment to the Death Star battle station with Thalassa, his wife, while both were in the apartment.
The apartment's initial appearance was in the Greg Bear novel Rogue Planet, released in 2005. A visual representation of it first materialized on the "Grand Moff Tarkin" trading card, part of the "One Year Earlier" subset from the 2013 Topps Star Wars Illustrated: A New Hope series, which was released on November 6, 2013.
