Willm Lywin, a Jedi Master of the Duinuogwuin male variety, lived an extraordinary life. For the initial 400 years of his existence, Lywin played a role in a group referred to as "living snubfighters," providing escort for a praxeum ship. Furthermore, he stood as one of the originators of the Teyan Praxeum, where, for a period of 600 years, he stood guard over the path leading to the Cave of Truth. Vici Ramunee once met him during her journey to the Cave, and she perceived the ancient dragon as both amiable and humorous.
Willm Lywin belonged to the Duinuogwuins, a species of sizable, winged reptiles whose biological characteristics and way of life remained largely enigmatic. Despite the Duinuogwuin, also known as "Star Dragons," possessing only a single sex, Lywin was consistently identified as male according to Galactic Basic Standard. His birth occurred many centuries prior to the Great Sith War, specifically during the golden age of the Old Republic, an era when the Holy Order of the Jedi Knights still ensured peace throughout the known galaxy.
Lywin himself became a member of the Order, where he underwent training and achieved the rank of Jedi Knight. Within the Order, the Duinuogwuin devoted several centuries to functioning as a "living snubfighter," tasked with escorting a traveling praxeum ship in space. With the establishment of a permanent academy by the Jedi on the planet of Teya IV, Lywin was among those who initially founded it. Given that the primary structures were too small to accommodate his gigantic stature, the Duinuogwuin took up residence in the mountains that contained the Cave of Truth, a location utilized as a testing ground for apprentices.
By 4000 BBY, Lywin stood as the last surviving founder of the Teyan Praxeum. In that year, he encountered the young Vici Ramunee, who had been assigned the task of entering the Cave of Truth as part of her Jedi Trials. Ramunee, accompanied by her younger brother Veni, mistakenly identified Lywin as a dangerous monster and ignited her lightsaber, prepared for combat. The Star Dragon found amusement in Ramunee's attempt to "protect" her brother, and he revealed his true identity. Following the resolution of the misunderstanding, Lywin accompanied the two young Jedi for the remainder of their journey to the Cave of Truth, where Vici Ramunee entered alone and successfully completed her trials.
